Welcome

My name is Razik Yousfi and I am 24 years old.
I graduated since mid-2008 from EPITA (Ecole Pour l'Informatique et les Techniques Avancées), a French Engineering School located in Paris, majoring in Cognitive Sciences and Advanced Computer Sciences.

During my scholarship, I have learned a lot of new techniques, languages and bases. I have particularly acquired an advanced level in C++ and C languages, a strong background in UNIX / Linux systems, a very good level in Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence.

I have developed multiple projects, beginning with some low-level unix programs (a library for stream manipulations, a memory allocator working the same way malloc does and other core features) and more advanced projects such as a Tiger language compiler in C++ or a bourne sheel in C. I was also given the opportunity to develop two video games, one of which was a 3D Zelda-like using BSP trees and written in Java. During my year of specialization, I have also implemented several projects in C++ among which an expert system using the RETE algorithm, a Datamining program based on the SLIQ algorithm, genetic algorithms or Neural Networks algorithms.

My teacher assistant position at EPITA has helped improving my knowledge in object oriented programming, various languages such as C++, C, Java, Ruby, Shell script or computer graphics. I was also in charge of one the most important project for third-year students: the Tiger compiler.

Finally, I did my end of studies internship at Siemens Corporate Research, Princeton, New Jersey USA. I was working on GPU optimizations for intensity-based registration. I was given the opportunity to publish my results in a paper entitled "New GPU Optimizations for Intensity-based registration" I have presented at the SPIE Medical Imaging conference standing in Orlando, Florida (February 2009).
During this internship, I have also developed GUIs using the QT framework and have re-designed an existing registration framework developed in C++.

Currently, I am a full-time Software Engineer at Systran, the world leader machine translation provider. The company is located in both Paris and San Diego. I am part of the core team, working mainly in C++ to enhance the translator and add new features around the statistical modules.
